So to continue from the last blog on why we dont bother removing ANYTHING from Chloe's hands when she's sleeping...
The other week, Chloe fell asleep in our bed. When Elvis was getting ready to go to sleep, he noticed that she was holding the Directv remote in her hands. He figured since she was asleep, he would be able to remove it from her hands and put her in her crib......WRONG!
The minute Elvis took the remote out of her hands, she woke up SCREAMING at the top of her lungs! Her hands went searching for the remote and he had to give in....So she went to sleep in her crib with the remote.

Crackberry Chloe
Elvis switched providers for his phone service today, so he gave Chloe his old blackberry.
More so than Elise, Chloe is ADDICTED to anything electronics. Remotes, cameras, phones, you name it....she loves it!
She has a habit of pulling the phone over her ear and saying "OH????OHHHHHH." (Baby talk for "Hello? Hellooooo!")
Do you know how excited she was that she got this phone all to herself and that nobody tried to pry it out of her hands? It was well past her bed time, so I decided to put her in her crib with the phone. She sat there...no joke...for 30-40 mins. She didn't cry, whine, or holler for help. She just sat there chit chatting with the figment of her imagination. (Is she chatting to best fwen Steph or boyfriend Aiden, only she knows!)
It grew silent all of a sudden, so my guess was that she ran out of energy. Check out the picture I took of her....Haha...I didn't even bother removing the phone from her hands. Why? Well. Let's just say I'll save that for next time.
Good night!

Elise's February Artwork
Here are some of Elise's artwork from the month of February. Every day I have to check her school's folder to see if there is any new art work that needs to be brought home.
Any ideas on where we should hang these things?

Happy Birthday, Uncle Tony!
Uncle Tony turned 27 (ewwww...he's an old fart!) on Monday, and he and Auntie Jen took Elise to Disneyland with them. It was her first time there (yeah, I know....Elvis and I held off this long on taking her there...), but from what they told me, she had a blast. Thank you, thank you again for taking her! As soon as Colie begins walking, we will make another trip there!

Colie Colie Colie
Didn't get much sleep last night.....GRRRRRR...
Poor Chloe...its the teething thats keeping her up as of late...Slept in 45 min intervals all night...And guess who she hollered at? ME!
I fell asleep early with Elise, so Elvis took care of her until his bed time at 1am....but from 1am to 6am? It was ROUGH!
Baby Orajel would only help so much and you can tell when its comforting her and when it was beginning to wear off.
At 5:30am, she woke up and cried...I was so tired that I caved in and carried her to bed with me. King sized bed for four people = not enough space! (Elvis and Elise slept with their heads towards the headboard...Me and Chloe slept on the opposite end of theirs just so there's more space.)
Anyone around enough knows Chloe wiggles around like a mad woman. It is IMPOSSIBLE to sleep with her. After she fell asleep again, I put her back in her crib, only to feel her hands dig into my skin, holding on for dear life....She wouldnt let me go!!!! When I finally broke free of her, she started whining and whining. (You can someone distinguish your kids' cries....whether they are hurt, sad, or just simply bored.) I knew immediately it was a whine to be near mommy. I was too tired, I needed my sleep!
So heres the story of the day:
After a few minutes of her on and off whining and cries, I had had enough..I said to her in a stern voice in Vietnamese, "THOI DI CO HAI, DI NGU DI!"
(English translation is something along the lines of "Stop it little lady...go to sleep!")
And guess what?
PURE SILENCE.
Homegirl heard the tone of my voice and knew I meant business.
She then slept (uninterrupted) for the next 2.5 hours.

Elise = Funny Gal
I am so behind on my other posts from the last 2 months...Please check back often as they are half done and will be posted shortly. I'm still tweaking them a bit before publishing. In the meantime, I will keep up to date with new stories to tell all of you. Every day there is something new and FUNNY about Elise and Chloe... And I will try my very best to not bore you all by being MIA for weeks on end.
Today's Stories:
#1
Our entire family goes to sleep at 7:30pm last night (yeah, talk about hittin' the sacks early now), and Elvis and I are wide awake by 6:30am. He heads to work, and I sit in bed watching the news. At 7:30am, I watch TLC's old episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8. In this episode, Jon and Kate take their kids to Sesame Place, an amusement park that is Sesame Street themed. (BTW, the small section devoted to Sesame Street in Sea World in San Diego totally got OWNED by this amusement park, but what can you expect? Its an ENTIRE park devoted to Sesame Street.) Before getting myself ready for the day, I take a quick peek at both girls, who look like they're nowhere near waking up.
Brush teeth: CHECK
Brush hair: CHECK (god, the tangles are so darn annoying. haircut please! someone tell Elvis that KimChi needs a haircut and that it is okay to cut it JUST A TINY BIT!)
Pee: Half CHECK
Halfway through my peeing session, I was interrupted by Elise's cries and screams. I quickly finish and run out and ask her "What's wrong?"
Elise: "Mommy, I wanna go! PLEASE!"
She points to the TV, just as the Gosselin kids are taking off on this Sesame Street flying ride. As the TV shows them squealing with fun, Elise gets even more upset, screaming "I wanna goooooooo!"
Funny girl.
#2
As we pull into her school's parking lot, I unbuckle her, and tell her to hug and kiss her Daddy bye bye. She does that. Then I tell her, "Okay, now say bye to Daddy and the two Uncles." She turns to them, waves, and says "Bye, GUYS."
Uhhhhh....Where and how did she learn the word GUYS? We could stop cracking up!

Elise at The Rainforest Cafe
Thanks to Tony and Jen for taking Elise out while we were away in Vietnam.
Elise has developed such a great bond with all of our friends that its just wonderful to see how shes at ease with all of them. On this occasion, Tony, Jen, Hoang, and Steph took Elise out to one of her favorite spots, The Rainforest Cafe. Chloe would have gone too, but she was up in Corona with her other grandma for the weekend.
You can watch Elise chit chat a bit and do a number of tricks with Jen on the video.
